Coach Ruben Amorim is still determined to recruit more attacking players next summer. Lookman is one of the options worth considering. Playing well in many positions in the attack is a plus for Lookman.
Transfermarkt values this striker at around 55 million euros. However, his recent conflict with the Atalanta coaching staff may make the Serie A club ready to sell Lookman for a more affordable fee.
Since joining Atalanta in August 2022, Lookman has affirmed his ability and become one of the leading strikers in Serie A. This season, Lookman has scored 10 goals in 19 domestic matches, along with 5 goals in the Champions League.

Coach Ruben Amorim is still determined to recruit more attacking players next summer. Lookman is one of the options worth considering. Playing well in many positions in the attack is Lookman’s plus point.
Transfermarkt values this striker at around 55 million euros. However, his recent conflict with the Atalanta coaching staff may make the Serie A club ready to sell Lookman quickly for a more affordable fee.
Since joining Atalanta in August 2022, Lookman has established himself as one of the top strikers in Serie A. This season, Lookman has scored 10 goals in 19 domestic league games, along with 5 goals in the Champions League.
In the 2023/24 season, Lookman was instrumental in helping Atalanta win the Europa League. This is the club’s first title in 61 years of waiting.
Striker Ademola Lookman is considered an ideal replacement for Marcus Rashford in the next summer transfer window.
Lookman’s future at Atalanta is in question after he fell out with coach Gian Piero Gasperini. The veteran coach criticized Lookman after he failed to convert a penalty in the second leg of the Champions League play-off against Club Brugge on February 20.
Coach Gasperini blamed Lookman, saying that the striker should not have been the one to take the decisive penalty. The Nigerian striker is said to have a poor record in taking penalty kicks in training.
Afterwards, Lookman responded to Coach Gasperini on his personal page: “Being criticized like that not only hurts but also makes me feel disrespected. It is not worthy of the great effort and dedication that I always put in every day to help bring success to the club and the fans.”
